American Pie 2 (2001)

American Pie 2 would be just like a sequel to The Big Chill if Kevin Costner didn't die and had sex with a pie instead. I'm pretty sure at least, I never finished watching that movie, I kept falling asleep everytime that Jeff Goldblum guy started talking about the dinosaurs eating flies or aliens or something.

Anyway, here's the skinny on American Pie 2. It's been one year since Kevin (Thomas Ian Nicholas), Jim (Jason Biggs), Paul Finch (Eddie Kaye Thomas) and Oz (Chris Klein) went on a crusade to lose their virginity at the senior prom. They've all gone to college and reunite for summer vacation at a phat beach house. Sexual deviance and hijinks ensue.

Is this a good film? Yea, I think so. There are some funny scenes that the trailers didn't give away, like other movies. The film also brought back just about everybody from the first one too. Everyone from Stiffler, The Sherman-ator, Nadia and even the M.I.L.F. dudes.

Were there any negatives of the film? Yea, it seemed too rushed. The director, James B. Rogers, tried to give everyone equal screen time. It went from Jim trying to hook up with Nadia to Finch going on about Stiffler's mom to Stiffler doing something homoerotic. The plot seemed to jump around alot.

Another negative was that American Pie 2 had to live up to the original. The first one had so many classic scenes. This one had some funny stuff, but not like the first one. Nadia got topless in the first one, I expected to see her box in this one and I was let down. Oh well.

Overall this is a good movie to see. It's good for a few laughs and it'll be a good drinking movie went it comes out on DVD.
