Top 5 John Goodman Films

John Goodman is not a leading man, but he's probably one of the greatest co-stars in film history. His roles in film aren't always the largest, but he plays them to the fullest. Goodman, by far, is the largest small role actor in Hollywood.

Picking out five of Goodman's best films was tough. I stayed away from the cartoons, for example, Monsters Inc. Even though Goodman was good in them the cartoons don't do him justice. Goodman can say a great deal with just his facial expressions. Far and away my favorite Goodman film is The Big Lebowski (1998). Not only was it directed by the Coen Brothers, it had one of my favorite actors in it, Steve Buscemi and it had one of my favorite lines of all time in it spoken by Goodman: "You see Larry ! This is what you get when you fuck a stranger in the ass!" Classic.
