Top 5 Rocky Movies

Since there are only 5 Rocky movies, each one must make this list by default. The point of producing such an otherwise useless list then, is to identify the best and worst of the Rocky movies. As a younger generation Rocky fan, I bring unique perspectives to the saga that serve to create a somewhat controversial ranking.

First, Rocky III and Rocky IV came out when I was at a very impressionable age. Therefore, I grew up with Rocky and Apollo on the same side, making it difficult for me to relate to the earlier Rocky movies that focused on their rivalry. Second, Rocky III is elevated in my mind by the presence of two of my childhood heroes, Hulk Hogan and Mr. T. Third, as an unabashed Reaganite, I find the dramatization of the "evil empire" theme in Rocky IV irresistible. These insights provide some background on my choices.
