Top 5 Cameos by a Musician
Many times artists in the musical arena will see if they can replicate their success on the silver screen. That being said, most of the time, they play themselves, and it's a less than starring role. Regardless, here are some of the best cameos by musicians that I've seen.
- Alice Cooper
Wayne's World-as himself
- Flea
Back to the Future II and III-as Douglas J. Needles
- James Brown
The Blues Brothers-as the Reverend Cleophus James
- KISS
Detroit Rock City-Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Ace Frehley, and Peter Criss: as themselves
- Ozzy Osbourne
Little Nicky-as himself

Great list!! How about James Brown in Rocky IV?
How could you overlook two biggies? Crossroads- Steve Vai playing the devil's musician Jack Butler, and Back to the Future 1- Huey Lewis playing the band auditioner.
Brian, I haven't seen Crossroads (sorry), but Huey Lewis' part in Back to the Future, while cool, was so small, you could blink and miss it.
